Presentation Title: Transforming Education
Presentation Description: There are really only two messages in this presentation. First, Education is NOT broken! So let’s start using language that is constructive rather than counterproductive. And secondly, as educators we are inherently leaders, no matter what our role is, and so we need to model what it means to be a connected, life-long learner.

Additional Information:
Resources and opportunities to continue learning and engaging on these topics can be found at: http://trans4med.org
Also, if people would like to share their thoughts on Transforming Education, I thought we could play with the twitter hashtag #Trans4mEd for a while… a way to get connected around a common theme.
David (and crew) what a wonderful way to spend 20 minutes! You are spot on; we must change the conversations we are having internally and externally about education.
Our words have power; they shape our beliefs and even more importantly our actions. I love the options that we have in this virtual space to take multiple actions to share a new story of teaching and learning.
This video is a testament to what is possibile when we connect, collaborate, learn, and play together! It changes children’s lives and our own. Thank you for sharing the possibilites with us!
Great job on this…it’s the first time I have seen a presentation created by so many people! And so many great messages.
Thanks!
Pingback: Introduction
Great video. I love how you’ve knitted this together. I’m looking for the place that has the links and blogs of everyone in here – there are a few people in here I do not know by their face and want to follow them!
I really love how you pulled from previous keynotes. I think that as we remix we have more meaning. Great work.
GREAT job.
Thanks for the comments folks!
Angela, I think you hit a key point, we need a ‘new story’… when we work from the old ones it is too easy to expect old endings and outcomes.
Don, thanks for contributing. I like the idea of getting more people involved and that’s why I created these two VoiceThreads to help encourage even more voices in the conversation: http://trans4med.org/engage/
Vicki,
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again… you were one of the first people in my RSS Reader and in my PLN!
I’m going to add all the links to this page: http://trans4med.org/connect/ …but right now I’m off to my first Edcamp ~ educators and community members getting together to have a discussion unscripted and based on interests of those present… Isn’t it exiting how things are changing!
I am always in awe of the power of words and the power of this PLN.
David, what a great creative way of spreading the word. Can’t wait for the next f2f.
Cheryl
