Fireside Chats- Virtual Style

Join the conference organizers and the keynote speakers in free wheeling open-ended chats in Elluminate. One chat will follow the pre-conference keynote. Two others will be scheduled during the two weeks of the conference presentations. This is open to anyone interested in participating. A link to the chat will be published on the blog well before the time we’ll get together. Ask the keynotes about their presentation and share your thoughts and ideas about the other presentations seen that week. This is an opportunity for all presenters and participants to get together and discuss anything on your mind.

When Night Falls

Our culminating event, When Night Falls, is a chain of several 1 or 2 hour long Elluminate sessions stretching over a 24 hour period; a 24 hour continuous K12 Online coffee break!

The purpose of When Night Falls is twofold:

  1. To give participants an opportunity to share reflections, to build networks and relationships and to make connections with each other. Hopefully, some of the connections people make at K12 Online will grow into global collaborations for students and support networks for all of us as we continue to push the envelope of teaching and learning in the 21st century.
  2. To get feedback on this year’s conference as we begin to plan for next year.

Volunteer moderators plan and implement the sessions which are loosely structured to encourage open ended conversations.
