As we get prepared for the summer (Northen Hemisphere), we are ready to announce our conference theme and strands for 2009. This year our conference theme is “Bridging the Divide” and our four strands will be Getting Started, Week in the Classroom, Kicking It Up a Notch, and Leading the Change. This year we are also looking at including presentations in Spanish and those produced by students– More information will be shared about this soon. Look for regular updates here on the K-12 Online Conference blog! As conveners we are now meeting weekly to work on plans for the 2009 conference. We will be releasing the 2009 conference call for presentations to coincide with NECC 2009. On behalf of the K12OnlineConference 2009 team, thanks for stopping by!

Great theme, can’t wait! When, where, and who do we send proposals to?
This is such an important and useful conference and I learn so much every year from it. Thank you for having Julie and I deliver a keynote for kicking up a notch last year – we look forward to sharing and participating as participants or any role that will best help.
Few people appreciate or understand how hard you all work to pull this together, we can only imagine. But, thank you to you all for everything you do with this. It is such a great help!
We will be announcing the call for proposals in the next two weeks, prior to NECC. The submission link will be here, and as we did last year we’ll use Google Forms. 🙂
Thanks Wes, looking forward to it!
Alex

Keep me in the loop. And, where can I find Take My Hand, again? It is not where I thought it was.
Elizabeth: Take My Hand was only active in the weeks during and immediately following the conference. It is not ongoing now, unfortunately. I am not sure if it will be a feature of the 2009 conference or not.
forgot to ask for e-mail updates
We don’t currently offer email updates for the conference but we should! I have used feedblitz (http://www.feedblitz.com) on my personal blog for email updates, and we’ll look into integrating that into the blog in upcoming weeks.
