Peggy is a retired educator who lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and has been a professional educator for over 50 years with many roles including principal, teacher, special education director and university pre-service teacher education instructor. She hosts the weekly Classroom 2.0 LIVE webinars, is a STAR Discovery Educator and member of the K12 Online Conference Organizer Team. She is an Organizer for EdCampPhoenix and a regular volunteer moderator in all of the virtual conferences hosted by Steve Hargadon via the Learning Revolution.

Another option for saving and downloading the Fan badge is to sign up for Credly. This is a badge that you can embed on your web site, Facebook page, or other online site to show your support for and participation in the K12 Online Conference. You will need to sign up for Credly (free) to save your badge in your account. Use this Claim Code to accept your badge. B75-90A8-3B7

You can also save and download your badge from Credly. If you want to download your badge you can do so from the sharing feature on Credly. When you mouse over a badge you’ve earned, click on the share icon. If you want only the image, simply click the button to download the badge image in “PNG” format.

Announcing K12Online 2013 Keynoters

The organizing team for the 2013 K-12 Online Conference is pleased to announce our fantastic lineup of keynote speakers for this year’s conference! Please download, print and share the marketing flyer PDF which has all the details. If you’re attending ISTE 2013 in San Antonio, stop by the blogger’s lounge and pick up several printed copies of the flyer so you can share the conference with others!

If you’re new to the K-12 Online Conference, please read our About page as well as as our Goals and Core Values. Since 2006, K-12 Online has hosted a free, all-volunteer online conference with 40+ free videos each year featuring some of the most creative and innovative teachers sharing their best ideas for engaging students with digital tools and effective learning strategies. All past keynote addresses are now available on our YouTube channel, and we’re in the process of migrating all past presentations there too.

Shannon Miller will kick off our 2013 conference with a pre-conference keynote on Monday, October 14th. During week 1 of the conference which starts October 21st, Steve Hargadon & Audrey Watters will keynote the “Open Learning” strand, while Kathy Cassidy will keynote “Outside Learning.” During week 2, starting October 28th, Larry Ferlazzo will keynote “Leading Learning” while Sylvia Martinez & Gary Stager will keynote “Building Learning.” Please forward and share this post on social media to get the word out about our fantastic keynoters for this year’s conference!

Also remember our call for proposals for the 2013 conference remains open through August 16. Please consider submitting a proposal and inviting other educators you know to submit!

The 2011 K12 Online Conference is about to kick off with the Pre-Conference Keynote by our fabulous, inspirational presenter, Angela Maiers. Teaser Sandbox Play – Screencasting 101

The 2011 K-12 Online Conference is just around the corner, and you know it’s coming soon because some of our presenters have started submitting “teaser videos.” These short videos are like a “movie trailer” for an upcoming presentation. The following 68 second video, from Lorna Costantini, is a teaser for her presentation in the “Sandbox Play” strand:  “Screencasting 101: First Steps to creating “On Demand” tutorials and presentations.”
