In the world of science, the possibilities of communicating with other groups of young scientists adds to the limitless applications that, frankly, didn’t exist a few years ago. I look forward to using this means of communication in my own classroom.

I again realize how important it is to connect with people on the outside…outside of these walls to help better educate the students. I would like to create a blog…and have the students blogs within with online galleries, portfolios, reflections and interest. It would be neat to write responses and see what is available out there for the students. A network of individuals that would maybe video tape themselves with ideas for the classroom and share this with us. Building a classroom community is a great deal of work. Just need to get started.

In previous positions I have held from medical recorders, teaching assistant, food service manager; the connections I have established with people of different professions and walks of life have allowed me to share what I have learned from these people. In turn respect and knowledge florishes and great things can be established.
