This is such a great example of collaboration at it’s best. You are providing your students with the tools that will prepare them for their future. They now know how to collaborate and how to leverage tools (RSS, blogs, social bookmarking, etc.) that will make them much more productive in the 21st century. Great presentation!

Thank you so much for your kind comments and reflections, Wesley. The writingmatrix project has been a very special experience for me as a teacher and as a person. It’s been for the first time for me to use in class the knowledge and insights gained as a member of the Webheads CoP and as a participant of TESOL EVO courses. These profoundly changed my teaching and learning. From chalk and blackboard to Web 2.0. From isolation to sharing, connecting and collaborating across borders.
I’ve just started blogging with my new groups this week and, like my old group, these new students are also eagerly getting connected to the world outside and using their English as best they can. It matters to them because they know they have real audience out there. It’s not just me reading their posts. It’s so rewarding to see students enjoy learning. 🙂

Wow, what a GREAT presentation on so many levels. This was the best example of a "blended" presentation I've ever seen.
