The real thanks about the graduate credit goes to Jeff Utecht, author of the Thinking Stick blog and Shanghai American School tech teacher, and Alan Knobloch, Shanghai American School principal for arranging the credit option with Plymouth State Univerisity. What amazes me is we can all be in such remote places of the world and yet collaborate to pull together such an incredible learning opportunity. I am very thankful to live in such a time as this. I want to feel more competent in this area, especially since many of my 8th grade students seem to know quite a bit already. Over the past year, I've been working with my local Writing Project people to deepen my understanding in this emerging field. I think it's great that you're offering an opportunity for us to learn about something that's relevant and you're making practical (both in how it relates to our classes and how we can earn credit toward continuing cerficiation credits).
